Tenth follows artist Paul Outlaw as he embarks on the creation of a deeply personal, multimedia experimental memoir grounded in the street in New York City where he grew up. Through performance, text, installation, and archival exploration, the film traces Paul’s creative process and the memories, challenges, and histories that emerge as he transforms place into art. The project was workshopped in the summer of 2025 through a fellowship and artist development program at the Los Angeles LGBT Center, where Paul was a featured resident, allowing the filmmakers — Demetrea and Rebekah Dewald — to capture early stages of the work’s evolution and the community that supported its making.
